Financial Aid Saturdays provide FREE help filling out federal and state forms for college financial aid. File by March 31 to increase your chances of getting financial aid!

• Questions answered by college representatives and financial aid expert

Not sure if filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) is right for you? Here are the FACTS:

• Filing for federal and state aid could help you and your family pay for college!
• Submission of federal/state financial aid forms is the only way for students to become eligible for most scholarships, grants, work-study, and other types financial aid.
• Most colleges require federal or state financial aid forms to be completed before they will pay out grants, scholarships, work-study, loans, or other types of federal, state, or institutional aid.
• According to the U.S. Department of Education, roughly $155 billion in financial aid was available to undergraduate students in 2010-2011.
• The latest research shows that filing for financial aid improves student opportunities to enroll and complete college!
